The origin idea behind my plan

In general, the origin of almost all diseases and especially cancer lies in a reduced mitochondrial function of the cells. Shortly said and as described in section 1, cancer cells have a lower energy metabolism than healthy human body cells.

 

This theory has been discovered by Dr. Otto Warburg, a German scientist, having received the Nobel Price in 1931, for proofing that cancer cells, other than healthy cells, gain their energy by the simple decomposition of sugar, called « glucose »

Referring to this theory, Dr. Agostino as well as Dr. Thomas Seyfried from the Boston College, even go one step further by claiming that the spreading of cancer cells could even be stopped by depriving them from glucose, by cutting out sugar of your diet.

 

Referring to Dr. Gerson, cancer or a tumor is only a symptom of a diseased body, an accumulation of several damaging factors that cause an aggravation of the entire metabolic system. He strongly believed that people could heal themselves through, inter alia, an organic, plant-based diet including cold pressed raw juices to flush as many as vitamins, enzymes and minerals to your body.

As well as Dr. Gerson, Dr. Breuss, with his 42 days juice cure, believed that due to the absence of dietary proteins and any type of solid food, the body will start to destroy abnormal cells by taking protein from the malign tumor.

 

Finally and according to the researches of Dr .Joanna Budwig in 1950, the blood system of cancer patients often shows a tremendous lack of deficiencies of phosphatides and lipoproteins caused a lack of oxygen and pi-electrons. So in order to fill up and correct this deficiencies, Dr. Budwig searched the best source of pi-electrons which she found in two unsaturated fatty acids („Linolenic”and „Linoleic“). And those two important unsaturated fatty acids are contained in flaxseed oil.

 

Furthermore, an analysis by researchers at the World Cancer Research Fund in 2011, (WCRF) combining the results of a number of previous studies, proofed that people eating processed meat had around a 17 per cent higher risk of developing bowel cancer

 

The International Agency for Research on Cancer, on his turn, found after more than 800 studies led in 10 countries, that eating 50 grams of processed meat everyday increase the risk of colorectal cancer by 18% as well as pancreatic and prostate cancer.

 

This explains why they have classified processed meat as « carcinogen », an evidence that causes cancer.

 

Furthermore, Ganmaa Davaasambuu, MD, Ph.D, an mongolian scientist noted that ingestion of natural estrogens from cows may have a strong link to breast, prostate and testicular cancers. As they are all, so called « hormone dependent » tumors, they logically need hormones to be able to grow. According to his studies, countries showing a strong correlation between milk and cheese such as Switzerland and Denmark, showed a higher death rate from prostate as well as breast cancer.

Other studies led by Sweden’s Karolinska Institute, showed that milk consumption has been associated with an increased risk of ovarian cancer.

 

All those information and researches have led me to incorporate the following points into my diet :

 

  1. Create an alkaline environment
  2. Accelerating cancerous cell death by changing my cell’s source of energy from a so called « glucose process » to a « ketones process »
  3. Boosting my immune system by flushing as much as minerals, vitamins and enzymes to my body

1) How to create an alkaline environment?

When it comes to cancer, the overall pH value is extremely important as it affects and mirrors the state of our health and inner body cleanliness.

 

This topic is surrounded by so much confusions and contradictions that I try to explain it the most comprehensive possible.

 

The letters pH stands for the potential of hydrogen, which is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. It is a scale showing you the acid and alkaline fluids in your body. This scale is ranging from 1-14 with 1 being the most acidic, 7 being neutral and 14 being the most alkaline.

 

In general, human body cells function most optimally in a slightly alkaline environment (PH 7.35- 7.45). Staying within this range increases our ability to stay healthy and to resist acute illnesses like flues, colds and cancer as well as other diseases The deviation above or below 7.35-7.45 can be a potential signal of serious diseases. Because the more acids in our body, the less oxygen is available for the use of our cells.

Already in 1931, Dr. Warburg has discovered that a lack of oxygen is one of the main causes for an unhindered growth for cancer cells. This explains why and oxygen-rich, alkaline environment is the key to maintain optimum health

 

Dr. Tullio Simoncini, an Italian oncologist, healed thousands of cancer patients by increasing the patients PH to a value between 7.5-8 with the intake of sodium bicarbonate.

In summary, Dr Tullio Simoncini thinks that cancer is a fungus (“Candida Albicans”) which can be cured with baking soda. To explain this fungus, he explained that his origin can be found in an excess acidity of the body, allowing the fungus to grow.

Very shortly said : His main idea is that by lowering the body’s acidity with baking soda, the fungus/cancer will be cured

 

 

How your PH value can be tested?

 

With pH strips that can be found online or in health food stores.

 

You have two possibilities:

 

  • By testing the saliva

 

Put the stripe in your month and hold it for 2-3 seconds. Once finished, compare the stripe to the color chart provided in the box. For obtaining an optimal result, the test should be done in the morning before drinking or eating as food and drinks can alter the PH reading of the saliva.

 

  • by testing your urine.

 

Take a stripe and urine on it.

As described above, the test should also be done first thing in the morning to avoid any wrong measurement. As your body is cleaning itself and clearing out all the acids during the night, it is totally normal that your urine will be more acidic in the morning. This explains why a second urine test is most accurate.

 

 

Which food create an alkaline environment?

 

As a remember, your diet influences your blood’s PH level, with some food promoting alkalinity and others having an acid-forming effect.

Shortly said:  Eating fewer or avoiding acid-forming and eating instead more alkaline food will help to increase our PH level, help to destroy cancer cells and improve our health in general.

 

In general, vegetables, fruits and grains are the best way to promote alkalinity in your body.

Or, grains and fruits especially often contain a highly amount of sugar which on its turn are feeding cancer cells again. I know this is leading to so much confusion reason why I tried to create a simple nutrition plan ( + a colorful table)  helping you to know what kind of foods are allowed to eat without regret and which ones should be strictly avoided.

2) My « Eatcancerfree » Plan :

a) Introduction

 

My plan is easy and simple: it is divided in 3 different “Phases” and “3 different Food Categories” :

 

The different Phases:

 

  • Phase I describes the “Starvation Phase” and lasts 42 days only
  • Phase II describes the “Stabilization Phase” and lasts from day 42- Remission Phase (Day 42- Remission)
  • Phase III is the called the “After-Remission Phase” and should last your whole lifetime.

 

The purposes of the different Phases:

 

Phase I + II foresees to kill cancer cells and to trigger apoptosis, the programmed cell  death (suicide of the cancerous cell)

 

Phase III foresees to avoid the relapse of your cancer or that new cancer cells will mutate in your body.

 

 

The different Food Categories:

 

  • Category I: the GREEN category: Food you can eat WITHOUT REGRET
  • Category II: the YELLOW category: food you can eat WITH MODERATION
  • Category III: the RED category: Food that should be AVOIDED

 

 

Before starting, just a little personal note:

 

To many of you, my plan will seem to be very strict. I totally agree on this point. BUT at the end of the day we honestly do just have one SINGLE GOAL: Support our body to become cancerfree the soonest possible.

And unfortunately there is NO GAIN WITHOUT PAIN. So be strict, consequent and in cases of relapses: GET UP, DRESS UP and NEVER GIVE UP.

b) A short overview of the different FOOD CATEGORIES

First of all: A simple summarized COLORFUL TABLE can be found  at the end of this plan.

Category I: The GREEN Category

The following vegetables and herbs can be consumed WITHOUT MODERATION:

 

  1. The “cruciferous” vegetables: Arugula, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, White Cabbage, Kale, Kamut Grass, Kelp, Radishes, Spinach, Watercress, Barley Grass
  2. The “other” vegetables: Artichokes, celery, Cucumbers, Graviola, Fennel, Parsley, Peppers, Wheatgrass, Onions, Sea Weeds
  3. Herbs and Spices: Basil, Garlic, Ginger, Ginseng, Oregano, Turmeric, Cardamom, Cumin, Sorrel, Black Pepper

Category II: The YELLOW Category

The Yellow category lists the food that should be eaten WITH MODERATION depending on the “Phase” (phase I, II or III) you actually are.

 

The Yellow category includes:

 

  1. Vegetables which contain a higher amount of carbohydrates than those listed in category such as: Asparagus, Beans, Beets, Parsnip, Pumpkin, Radishes, Squash, Eggplants, Carrots, New Potatoes, Peas and Red Cabbage

 

  • Phase I: 3-5 portions a day (150-200grams maximum)
  • Phase II: 3-5 portions a day (150-200 grams maximum)
  • Phase III: 5-6 portions a day (300-400 grams maximum)

 

  1. Fruits: Due to its high sugar amount, the consumption of fruits should be limited to 2-3 portions a day

 

  • Phase I: 2-3 portions a day (100-150 grams maximum)
  • Phase 2: 2-3 portions a day (100-150 grams max)
  • Phase 3: 2-3 portions a day (100-150 grams max)

 

  1. Grains: Due to its high amount in carbohydrates, they should also be consumed with moderation. It is important that all your grains are GLUTENFREE such as Quinoa, Glutenfree Oats, Buckwheat, Brown Rice, Basmati Rice, Teff, Amaranth, Montina.

 

Little Remember: Our goal is to give as less as carbohydrates to our body (cancerous cells feed themselves from sugar) and to put our body in a ketogenic state, meaning that our cells should take their energy from fat and not from sugar (more explanation below):

 

  • Phase 1: maximum one cup a day (15-20grams a day)
  • Phase 2: maximum 1-2 cups a day (20-30 grams a day)
  • Phase 3: maximum 1-2 cups a day

 

  1. Oils: You should only consume the following oils: Flaxseed oil, Olive Oil, Hemp Seed Oil Coconut Oil and Pumpkin Seeds Oil. Please make sure that they are coldpressed and organic.

 

  • Phase 1: 1-2 tablespoons a day (in combination with cottage cheese or Quark, explanation below)
  • Phase 2: 2-3 tablespoons a day
  • Phase 3: 4-6 tablespoons a day (maximum)

 

  1. Nuts: All kind of nuts can be consumed except of PEANUTS and CASHEWS. Please make sure that they are UNSALTED

 

  • Phase 1: one handful of nuts if needed (10 almonds, 5 walnuts, 3 brazil nuts)
  • Phase 2: 20-30 grams a day
  • Phase 3: 20-30 grams a day

 

  1. Homemade Chicken or Vegetable Broth:

 

  • Phase 1: 3-4 cups a day
  • Phase 2: as desired
  • Phase 3: as desired

 

  1. Soy Products:

 

  • Phase 1: not allowed
  • Phase 2: 1-2 portions a day if tolerated (not in cases of BREAST and PROSTATE cancer)
  • Phase 3: 2-3 portions a day if tolerated

 

  1.  Fish: Important as it is a great source of Omega 3 (but only if desired)

 

  • Phase 1: Not allowed
  • Phase 2: 2-3 portions a week
  • Phase 3: 2-3 portions a week

 

  1.  Cottage Cheese or Quark: Only diary products that are allowed to be consumed.

 

  • Phase 1: 1-2 tablespoons a day in combination with organic coldpressed flaxseed oil
  • Phase 2: 1-2 tablespoons a day in combination with organic coldpressed flaxseed oil
  • Phase 3: 1-2 tablespoons a day in combination with organic coldpressed flaxseed oil

Category III: The Red Category

The Red Category foresees all the food that is forbidden especially during Phase I and II: Alcohol, manufactured and processed food, diary products, salt, refined sugar, meat and gluten.

c) Explanation of the THREE different Phases

Phase I: The Starvation Phase (First 42 Days)

a) In general:

 

As the apoptosis (programmed cell death) will start only in the second part of the fasting period (so after 21 days) and needs 6 weeks to completely purify and revive the whole body, it is important to avoid any kind of heavy digestible food as well as dietary proteins during the first 42 days in a row.

 

In summary, during the starvation phase you should follow a no sugar, lowcarb, no fat VEGAN DIET consisting of:

 

  • 1.5-3 liters of cold pressed-green juices every day
  • Unlimited consumption of the foods listed in the GREEN category
  • Cruciferous Vegetables
  • Other Vegetables
  • Herbs and Spices
  • limited consumption of the food listed in the YELLOW category consisting of :
  • 3-5 portions of VEGETABLES containing a higher mount of sugar (150-200 grams)
  • 2-3 portions of FRUITS a day (100-150 grams)
  • Maximum a one cup of GRAINS a day (15-20 grams)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of OILS a day (flaxseed oil in combination with Cottage cheese or Quark)
  • 1 handful of NUTS if desired
  • 3-4 cups of HOMEMADE CHICKEN or VEGETABLE BROTH
  • All foods listed in the RED category should be strictly avoided

 

All kind of vegetables and fruits, mostly organic should be consumed organic and fresh and as you desire: raw, stewed, cooked, grated, mashed, in forms of soups, salads, stews etc. Dried fruits should only be consumed if needed and only when being “unsulphured”, which means stewed or pre-soaked only: raisins, peaches, dates, figs, apricots and prunes.

 

 

 

b) Explanations:

 

Why does the first phase should last 42 days?

Why you should eat 3-5 kg of green vegetables at least?

 

Beside the fact that green vegetables are one of the most precious gifts of our Mother Nature, they are also the most inexpensive medicine including all nutrients our body need for  staying healthy.

 

As they are low in sugar, low in fat, full of chlorophyll and rich in vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, folic acid as well as phytochemicals such as lutein, beta-cryptoaxanthin, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene, the American Institute of cancer as well as the World Cancer Research Fund consider greens are the most powerful natural and preventive weapon against cancer cells.

 

Because of their cancer-fighting compounds, some vegetables have been classified as « cruciferous vegetables ». Cruciferous vegetables include arugula, pok choi, broccoli, romanesco, cauliflower, cabbage, brussel sprouts, collard greens, daikon, horseradish, kale, kohlrabi, mustard, radish, turnips, wasabi and watercress (« The green category »)

 

For your understanding: By consuming cruciferous greens, the glucosinolates (bitter sulfur-containing chemicals found in cruciferous greens) are broken down to form biologically active compounds. And those compounds like Indole-3-carbinoll (an indole) or Sulforaphane (an isothiocyanate) have been found very effective to destroy cancer cells and inhibit their development in several organs ( including breast, colon, liver, lung and stomach) .

 

Furthermore, a Swedish study showed that especially broccoli sprouts, which contain 10 or more times sulforaphane than does mature broccoli have led to a significantly decrease of breast and skin cancer.

 

Furthermore, cruciferous greens are high in carotenoids, the pigments that give vegetables such as kale, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes etc. their vibrant green, orange and red color. Beta-carotene, lycopene and lutein are different varieties of carotenoids, which act as strong antioxidants. Antioxidants are known for their high protection from free radicals, the famous substances which are responsible for the destruction of cell membranes and DNA.

 

For example, several studies have shown that smokers who tend to have higher concentrations of free radicals ( due to the chemicals they inhale,) can lower the risk of lung cancer by the daily consumption of antioxidants . The same anti-cancer effect has been shown for skin cancer.

 

Other case-control studies such as the Canadian study published in Nutrition and Cancer in 1999 already, have shown that men who are eating greater amounts of green vegetables lower the risk of prostate cancer. Referring to the Netherland Cohort Study having analyzed the link between diet and cancer, showed that cruciferous greens significantly reduce the risk of colon cancer.

 

 

In summary, Cruciferous greens are able to:

 

  • Protect cell from DNA damage
  • Help inactivate carcinogens
  • Have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects
  • Induce cell death (apoptosis)
  • Inhibit tumor blood vessel formation and migration which are responsible for metastases

 

Beside the strong anti-cancer effect, cruciferous greens  present many others positive effects:

 

  • Because of the high magnesium content and the low glycemic index, they lower the risk of diabetes of more than 9%.
  • Heart disease
  • The high level of vitamin K helps to produce osteocalcin, the best protection for an optimal bone health (for example lowers the risk of hip-fracture by more than 45%).
  • Lutein and zeaxanthin help to protect against cataract and age-related macular degeneration which is the major cause of blindness in the elderly age.

 

 

What does cold-pressed mean and why is this so important?

 

In contrary to traditional methods such as centrifugal juicing or blending, where the heat from the blade essentially « cooks » the juice, the cold-pressed process simply squeeze and extract fruits and vegetables without the use of heat or air. This process allows that all the original nutrients, vitamins and living enzymes of the vegetables and fruits are kept intact and preserved in the juices.

 

 

Shortly said, cold-pressed juices give you the following benefits:

 

  • Maximal intake of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and enzymes as their vital elements are extracted gently, completely and without heat
  • Maximal preservation of nutrients
  • Easiest and fastest way of absorption of important nutrients
  • Easy and simple digestion of raw food
  • Effective way to flush all the toxins out of the body

 

Attention: Cold-pressed juices may be kept for a maximum of 8-10 hours if they sealed hermetically in a glass jar. This means that the juice should be stood in small mason jars, filled up to the top so that there is no room for oxygen, and placed in a cooler. A small container is better than a thermos or a larger jar, as each time a larger container is opened, more air gets in and further oxidizes the juice.

 

Cottage cheese/ Quark

 

Why organic cold-pressed flaxseed oil should be combined with cottage cheese/ Quark?

 

According to the researches of Dr. Joanna Budwig, a German doctor in 1950, the blood system of cancer patients often shows a tremendous lack of deficiencies of phosphatides and lipoproteins what is caused by a deficiency of pi-electrons (little park-plugs helping our body to breathe properly).

In order to fill up and correct those deficiencies, Dr. Budwig searched the best source of pi-electrons which she found in two unsaturated fatty acids: „Linolenic“and „linoleic“  And those two acids are contained in cold-pressed flaxseed oil.

 

Or, those acids are not only a perfect source to re-oxygenate cancerous cells but they also are able to repair and restore the lipid membranes of every cell of our human body.

 

 

Why flaxseed oil needs to be combined with Quark or Cottage Cheese?

 

For being able that the unsaturated fatty acids of the flaxseed oil can be perfectly transferred to cancerous cells, our body needs a water-soluble solution.

 

Or, as in general, oil is not water-soluble and consequently can not be immediately be transferred to our cells, Dr. Budwig searched for a solution to make flaxseed « water-soluble » or at least absorbable.

And this is why the flaxseed oil has to be combined with Quark or Cottage cheese as the sulphureted amino acids found in the Quark or Cottage Cheese, helps the oil being absorbed by our cells.

In addition, Quark or Cottage Cheese contain two other ingredients which are a great source to stop cells mutating into cancer cells.

 

  1. Sulfur which helps to reduce and stop the cell’s division
  2. Dextrorotary Lactic Acid which helps to cause automatic cell death (« apoptosis ») by increasing the cell’s ph.-value to an alkaline level of around 7.4. (Remember, referring to Dr. Warburg, cancer cells can not grow in an alkaline environment).

 

Normalizing the ph.-level helps to stop cells mutating into cancer cells.

 

The “healing power” of Chicken Broth

 

Homemade bone broth is one of the most powerful superfoods. It is often called the « Jewish Penicillin » as it contains multiple of minerals, nutrients and vitamins which most cancer patients are lacking in their diet.

This explains why bone broth should be an integral part of your cancer healing diet.

 

Especially drunk first thing in the morning can be beneficial and effective to cancer healing as:

 

  • Bone Broth helps to boost your Immune system:

 

As you all know, an intact working immune system is one of the most important weapon against cancer as their main function is to recognize, hunt out and destroy abnormal, pathogenic cancer cells.

Bone broth is one of the only dishes that provides all the 19 essential and non-essential amino acids (building blocks for proteins), especially “arginine” (essential for liver and immune system), glutamine (essential for boosting your metabolism) and glycine (essential for glutathione production and the quality of sleep).   • 2-3 portions of organic FISH week (every portion: 130-150 grams max)
  • All foods listed in the RED category should be strictly avoided

 

Why including oils and fats in your diet?

 

Beside of the flaxseed oil (explained above), do your best to integrate olive oil as well as Omega-3 in your daily diet.

 

The reasons are explained below:

 

The importance of unsaturated fats

 

In contrary to saturated fats, the bad fats, which are found in relatively high amounts of meat and dairy products, unsaturated fats are seen as the healthy ones as they provide the human body with valuable energy and nutrients for various important functions.

 

Unsaturated fats are classified in two categories:

 

  • The polyunsaturated fats which have many unsaturated chemical bonds and are liquid at room temperature and in the refrigerator. Common sources are sesame and sunflower seeds, corn, soybeans, coconut oil etc.
  • The monounsaturated fats which have only one chemical bound and are liquid at room temperatures but start to solidify at refrigerator temperatures. Common sources are found in olive oil, walnut oils and avocados

 

Beside their anticancer effect: research shows that diets with healthy amounts of monosaturated fats have a host of amazing health benefits as they:

 

  • protect and lower the risk for heart disease and stroke
  • reduce cholesterol levels
  • reduce the pain and stiffness of rheumatoid arthritis
  • reduce belly fat

 

During phase II, and III do your best to integrate especially monounsaturated fats especially olive oil, flaxseed oil ( 3-4 tablespoons) or or ½ avocado to your daily diet.

 

The benefits of olive oil

 

A number of research studies have documented that oils such as Olive oils exerts a protective effect against certain malignant tumors. (breast, prostate, digestive tract etc)

 

The beneficial effect could be related to oleic acid, the predominant monosaturated fatty acid which is found in Olive oil. It has been observed that this fatty acids lowers the production of prostaglandins derived from arachidonic acid, which plays a significant role in the production and development of cancer. Furthermore, Squalene, an other compound of olive oil, is believed to reduce the growth of the black skin cancer known as malignant melanoma.

Furthermore, very promising current researches showed a protective link between child leukemia and various cancers such as esophageal squamous cell cancer.

 

 

The importance of Omega-3

 

According the American Institute for Cancer Research, Omega 3 may reduce the production of enzymes that promote cancer cell growth, increase apoptosis ( cancer cell death) and suppress the formation of new blood vessels leading to the growth and proliferation of cancer cells.

 

In detail, Dr. Elaine Hardman of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center found that by supplementing Omega 3 in our diet may not only help to reduce and inhibit the growth of cancer cells but also enhance the efficiency of chemotherapy and may help to reduce their side effects.

 

What is Omega-3 and why is the right ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids so important ?

 

In general, all fatty acids that are essential for the human body can be produced by its own, except of two :

 

  • Linoleic acid (LA) -> an Omega-6 fatty acid
  • Alpha-Linoleic acid (ALA)-> an Omega-3 fatty acid

 

Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids are called « polyunsaturated » because they have many double bounds.

The problem is that the human body is not able to produce the enzymes needed for its own production, reason why they have to be consumed by our daily diet.

 

Omega 6 and Omega 3 do not have the same effect. In contrary to Omega-6 which is a pro-inflammatory, Omega-3 has the strongest anti-inflammatory effect.

Inflammations are essential for an optimal body health as they help to protect and fight against any kind of infections and injuries.

 

Or, the key is that inflammations can only be considerate as « essential » if they have a strong anti-inflammatory response: the Omega-3 fatty acids. This explains why they have to be balanced in the right ratio and most importantly, why more and more people are suffering from serious diseases as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis etc. The response is simple: the typical Western diet includes way too many Omega-6 relative to Omega-3.

 

Fish and Sea food as great source of Omega-3

 

According to the American Journal of Epidemiology, a higher intake of Omega-3 fats from fish is associated with a 41% reduce risk of colorectal cancer, reducing breast cancer and reduce their risk of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma by 40%.

 

Furthermore, a study of more than 20’000 cancer-free men showed that those who consumed fish five times a week cut their risk of death from prostate cancer almost in half as compared to those who ate fish less than once a week.

A case control study of women in Shanghai even found that in general egg consumption is associated with significantly lower risk of breast cancer.

  • 1.5-3 liters of cold pressed-green juices every day
